Are there Alternate Universe Doctors?

I fear people with alot greater Who knowledge than I, will have a beter answer than this, but I see no reason Alternate Doctors cant exisit.

Even if Galifery is outside of normal time, meaning it iself has no Alternative versions of itself, when the Doctors enters normal space and the timeline, I would think that other Alternative versions of himself split off, like they do for us when we go left rather than right (or so the theory states)

So yes it is quite possibly there are other Doctors, there are also possibly other Masters, the question of course means, what does this mean for their regeneration, is it possible a version of say Peter Davison exisits, where he never regenerated.

Also would an alternate Doctors regenerations be the same as our Doctors.

Personally whilst its possible, I find the idea of Alternate Time Lords a bit of a cheat on the Time War.

it's possible. theory says that the Dictator who ran the evil universe in "Inferno" back in Pertwee's day was the alternate Doctor.

One could take Ten's comments to that effect as meaning that it wasn't possible to cross from this universe into others, not necessarily meaning it wasn't ever possible for travel between other universes, just not this one.

Also, just because one can't travel between universes doesn't mean they don't exist. Pete's World, with Rose, the Meta-Crisis Doctor, and probably Doctor Jr. by now, still exists even though, technically, it should be impossible for our Doctor to go back there.

Exactly! I was thinking about that the other day, actually. I was wondering if Pete's World had a Doctor of it's own. I read a rather well-done fanfic about Eleven crossing over into Pete's World and meeting up with the Meta-Crisis Doctor and that started me thinking about what The Doctor 'native' to Pete's World was like. Maybe he's still in his Ninth incarnation...that way there could be a meeting between Nine, Ten, and Eleven. Even though Eleven isn't supposed to be able to get there...oh well, Timey Wimey and all that.

Before Rose returned to DW and before the 10B character popped up, I suggested that in her farewell episode, where she and the Doctor had the conversation powered by the Neutron star, after the link broke, we should have heard the sound of the TARDIS materialising. But rather than Tennant emerging from it, it should have been Eccleston, as that universe's Doctor - who would have failed to recognise Rose but nonetheless would have allowed their relationship to start all over again.

It actually wasn't that far off how RTD ultimately did resolve the Doctor/ Rose relationship, when you think that 10B was basically meant to be like the Ninth Doctor - born in the heat of battle, ruthless, angry etc.

Yeah, that would have been interesting. I haven't actually watched the episodes in which 10B is created yet, I'm slowly working on my DW watch-through and I'm looking forward to that one.

The novel Coming of the Terraphiles suggests there were Time Lords in other realities, but they all got dragged into the Time War, leaving all of them wiped out. The Doctor literally is the last of the Time Lords across the entire multiverse.

If there were Timelords and/or a version of our Doctor in Pete's world then shouldn't either of them have detected our Doctor entering there world and try and help them get back to there own universe?

I just assumed that it was implied that the Timelords only existed in the one Universe making them unique to the whole multiverse.

I don't know why they would notice. The Time Lords may be masters of time and space, but that doesn't mean they pay attention to every little thing that happens. For all we know, in Pete's World, the Time Lords don't give a shit about Earth at all.
