Are separate XBox controllers the same as what comes with the console?

I’ve heard conflicting reports in this, the one that comes with the console feels like a cheap piece of shit. Are the separately sold ones better quality?

Depends on what you are buying? I still have the two controllers that came with my two Series consoles. They both still work well.

The $59-79 dollar range controllers are the same as what comes with the console. I have a wired Wolverine controller that cost $129 that is a decided step up in build quality. The quality on the Elite controllers is very hit or miss. The rubber grips started peeling off of mine after about a month of use.
