Loved Enterprise, even though Archer was probably the worst ST Captain ever. His pacing back and forth while talking on-screen with enemies, and generally snippy attitude made me want to throw a brick at the TV at times. I was almost hoping that he'd pop out of there Quantum Leap-style when Dean Stockwell showed up.

Seriously though, I don't think Enterprise fans are more or less likely to have liked the new movies. Good writing makes and keeps fans and people are only loyal as long as what they're seeing is quality and compelling. Perhaps it's because Enterprise was the most recent ST show that many of the younger fans will remember and relate with both Enterprise and the new movies.
On the other hand no one could take a punch in the face like Archer.

If someone did a youtube compilation of Star Trek captains being beat up, I wonder who would dominate - Kirk or Archer? I suspect the latter.... I did admire his willingness to look a little rumpled.

The reboot should had been complete. No need for ENT to exist in the new timeline. It could still be an alternate universe, but there was 0 need to include ENT.

People who don't know what "an ENT" is didn't even notice, so what difference did a little reference make?

All that terrible stuff that went on in most of ENT happened in this universe. Also, why keep the weakest series in continuity?

There are bad stories littered throughout the franchise. Enterprise is no better or worse in this regard (TOS fan here).

This isn't a dig at you, just an observation of Trekkies in general, but if everything else in the JJmovies stayed the same, we'd likewise get the same reaction of, "Why isn't ENT in continuity?!"

cant say as people likes varies. I am a nu trek fans and I love next generation more than any other series.

That's one interpretation I suppose. I prefer to think that because Enterprise follows First Contact, and First Contact has been erased from continuity, Enterprise has also been erased.

Nothing has been erased. As evidenced by Admiral Marcus's display of little ships. And a 24th Century Ambassador to Romulus, named Spock, who's still alive and well in a parallel universe.

I think it's worth it just to keep the Augment Trilogy in there - they work equally well as prequels to Into Darkness as they do "Space Seed"/Wrath of Khan. Especially the bit about Archer's Dad dying horribly of Clarke's disease, something which could have been easily cured had the technology not been banned and suppresseed - an excellent foreshadowing of the little girl at the start of ID.
