Are New Aliens Going to Be a Problem?

Each of the Trek series has introduced new aliens, so I don't see why DSC should be any different. I look forward to seeing what kind of new aliens they are able to create with modern CGI and prosthetic make up.

They advertised that the aliens will be more alien and newer techniques would be used to create them. We saw a glimpse of some of these in the trailer. So far they've even layered some cybernetics onto our expectations.

Every few weeks on TOS, we saw one-off aliens whom we never saw again -- even a few one-off Federation species. So that means there are enough aliens out there for DSC to include a few new ones that other installments of the franchise never showed.

And, yes -- use modern cinematic make-up or effects to do so. Besides, I think TNG and DS9 already used every possible forehead configuration already, so they need new make-up ideas.
