We'd be a couple of years into the 'Cardassian Occupation of Bajor' arc at this point, which would last up to season 104, and we'd only have 30 seasons left before we lost the Wrath of Khan uniforms.

I'm also wondering if some of this is a sense of entitlement by some fans that things are not too their liking and they feel "owed" that something do it their way?
