Archetypes

I am studying the characters of TNG as they appear to be strongly based on Jung's archetypes. So far I have figured these characters out.

PIcard = King
Geordie = Craftsman
Troy = Mother
Riker = Hero
Whoopie Goldberg = Guide/teacher
Data = Child
Dr Crusher = friend
Worf = Warrior

Can anyone think of any characters, main ones or minor ones which would fit the following archetypes?

Virgin (someone who is whole and complete in themselves, needs noone else)
Father/Guardian (protective, emotionally understanding, rational response)
Lover (at ease with him/herself, seductive, uncomplicated)
Healer (caring yet able to detach)
Trickster (fun-loving, perhaps lacking in responsibility)
Bard/seer (able to affect people through speech, song, music. Knowing)
Rebel (defies convention, own personal worldview)
Judge (impartial, rational, detached, rules)

Wouldn't Dr. Crusher = healer? And Q would definitely be the Trickster! Various SF admirals would be father/guardian and judge. Picard could also be father/guardian and Riker could also be the Lover.

Jungian archetypes are fun. I'd never thought of using them for TNG characters - interesting. I'll play, not repeating any of the characters you've already used (so using minor characters mainly):

Virgin - Shelby
Guardian - Boothby
Lover - Vash
Healer - Ben
Trickster - Lwaxana
Bard - The Traveller
Rebel - Q or Barash
Judge - Difficult... maybe Phillipa Louvois? But she isn't really archetypal enouhg.

Lover - Vash

:thumbsup: :D You beat me to it.

Trickster - Lwaxana

I was thinking of Q as a Trickster but given the definition (fun-loving, perhaps lacking in responsibility) I have to agree that Lwaxana fits it perfectly. :thumbsup:

She pretty much is the embodiment of the Lover archetype really.

Q is too sinister IMO. The Trickster isn't sinister, merely capricious.
