Archer Had a Beagle; What Would Sisko have?

Not sure exactly, but I think they'd go well with him. The experience I've had with Rottweilers (my parents held them) is that they have very stable, confident characters, not nervous at all, and aren't easily perturbed. They are not aggressive by themselves but they will protect their territory from what they percieve to be a threat - fiercely, if necessary. Sisko in my view shares some of these qualities.

It's a shame really that this beautiful breed of dogs has gotten such a bad rap during the last years, but unfortunately, it is very possible to raise them in such a way that they do become aggressive.

An injured female Cardassian vole that was rescued from one of Quark's fights. He would often feed it a cracker or a leafy green while meeting with people in his office, and it would sit on his shoulder sometimes.

Now I'm wondering what kind of pet Picard would have fancied -- apart from that dull fish, of course! (And assuming that even on the ENT-D there's no room to hold a real horse-- is that even considered a 'pet', by the way ?).

There's a flipping dolphin tank, I think there's room for a horse.

Somehow, I could see him strolling the decks of DS9 with a huge pair of twin Rottweilers ....
I came here to say a Rottweiler, I see you have one-upped me. Well played, sir.

This is Boerboel. In keeping with Sisko's heritage the Boerboel is a breed from Africa. They're popular as guard dogs for live stock because they can drive off lions.
