Arc speculation about gangers (Spoilers if I'm right!)

I don't think Amy is a ganger. I can exactly why you think that, and it does make sense from that POV, but the Silence, in the 60s, and Flesh tech 22md Century. While they have the TARDIS looking machine, do they have time travel? Doubtful.

The Lodger/Silence machine was established as a proto-TARDIS time machine in The Lodger, and they could *easily* have been hitching lifts in the TARDIS since last season without being noticed...

There's no reason to believe the Silence caused the pregnancy. Just that Amy somehow gave birth in the 60s.

Hasn't it occurred to anyone that the ganger Doctor being the one who dies in "The Impossible Astronaut" being way too obvious. Given this is a two parter, I'm sure the ganger Doctor will play some other role but the one we saw die won't be it.

I think that's the working assumpton that we're all (mostly) working under. Too obvious to be the solution to that problem.

Mr Awe

Never eliminate the obvious. For all we know, they could’ve realized they were writing themselves into a corner and figured this was a good way out. Then consider it “foreshadowing” when it’s actually “obvious."

Unless he dies next weekend and they're taken off his cold, dead feet, the ganger Doctor still has his boots. Our Doctor ruined his in the acid outside. "The Doctor" was wearing those same boots when he died on the beach.

I'm thinking the duplicate could escape in the Tardis, become River's Doctor for a majority of those adventures and have ample opportunity over the next couple centuries of his life to set ALL of this story up, obtain a Stetson and seal his fate.

That was probably him crossing his own timeline to sneak into the castle and send a sonic signal into the goo to kick-start the replication process to ensure his own birth. They were very careful not to show his feet during that scene...

While I admit it makes it possible, there's 200 years of Doctor Prime before he dies, that's surely enough time to replace the boots

And for DoctorGanger, that means he wore the same shoes for 200 years. I don't know about you, but, 6 months is about all I want to regularly wear the same shoes.

Maybe River's apparent confusion/concern over their 'first kiss' has something to do with the fact that she's been doing a ganger?

I wouldn't get too hung up about the boots - with the modern doctor, the clothes are actually a costume - so even if they get trashed in one episode, they are fine in the next - just like a superhero.

^^ Yeah, I think within one episode or two-parter it can be significant but across different stories, not so much.

Oh all right.. I'll say it... "You mean she's a ganger banger?"

Back to rampent speculation!

Nah, his first kiss means it’s her last kiss. Supposedly. I don’t buy the “linear reverse” of their lives.

VERY, VERY GOOD FIND! This is one of those things that they don't want us to notice because we'll feel stupid when they reveal it, and you're very clever for noticing it!

It fits completely as well! The Doctor wouldn't go to the Flesh room and do the sonic screwdriver thing he did because at the time he was going to retrieve the TARDIS. Rory is also in possession of the big UV light at the time, and I'm pretty sure the Doctor would only have one of those things. Would also explain why he was in a rush to do it, and would explain why the Doctor sounded scared and shocked when he heard his own voice say 'Why?! Why?' when they locked themselves in the Flesh room at the end!

This is amazing, and I'm COMPLETELY mind-blown! Thanks for pointing that out. God... :D

i think both doctors are Gangers!! Or more like the Doctor that has been with Amy and Rory is the older version on the Ganger doctor with see at the end of the episode. If you think about it there was alot the doctor knew about what was going one but would not say anything and everyone picked up on it. It also explains whey the doctor is so sympatatic to the gangers and feels he owes them something. I think the real doctor is not even around there at all. So the doctor we see from TIA and on was always a ganger and in t TRF/TAP we see how the ganger doctor began.
