April/May Star Trek Magazine

JD

Fleet Admiral

So has anyone else gotten the current issue of STM yet? I just finished it a couple days ago, and I really enjoyed it. I especially enjoyed the articles on the red shirts, and Starfleet officers who have died in the line of duty.
And the excerpt for DTI was very interesting.

I enjoyed this issue. I will point out, though, that they don't seem to know Dwight Eisenhower from Harry Truman.

Never mind.

I'm sure if an American magazine wrote an article on former random British politicians then some mistakes might happen and they may not know thier David Lloyd George from their Winston Churchill.

^^
I'm an american, and I can, if shown pictures, tell the difference between David Lloyd George and Winston Churchill.

Indeed -- I daresay that most Americans know what Winston Churchill looks like but couldn't pick David Lloyd George out of a lineup. I certainly have no idea what Lloyd George looked like.

And I reckon they wouldn't Chris. Same as if most Brits were shown pictures of past presidents of America, I doubt many could identify more than a few at best.

I'm not fully convinced that "David Lloyd George" isn't a made-up name.

But I'm pretty sure I could tell apart pictures of Jim Hacker and Harriet Jones.

Can no-one see the April date on the cover of this issue???

Seriously, it was a goof that was missed by a number of Americans involved in the process, as well as the Brits!!

I've only had time to take a brief flip through the magazine... but now I'll be looking for that error...
