Check the date...
Happy April Fool's Day!
Based on this, no doubt.
Is that for real? I've never heard of that playset.
The website seems real enough. But we can't know everything. I found it be Googling Gamma VI. It seems likelier that the OP would base his joke novel on an actual playset than fabricate both a cover and a fictional playset.
I'm just glad I remembered what day it is when I saw the headline. If not I would have been really disappointed when I realized this was fake.
Given the current situation in regards to the books, this is kind of a mean joke.
I almost fell for this when I read Dayton’s blog post.
Then I remembered the date.
That’s great cover art.
Me, too, but I couldn't see Pocket announcing they had renewed the license in this way.
You'll note that I specifically avoided the use of "Pocket" or "novel" anywhere in the post.
Is that because Titan is publishing it?
Two years ago, I saw a boxed one in a collectables store on Long Island. Unfortunately I didn't have the cash or luggage space for it (or the Next Gen engine room playset I was so desperate for when I was 10)
Not really, but opinions can differ, I found it rather amusing.
Oooohhh, so it's a novelization! Hopefully they let Dayton expand on what's in the script, or it's gonna be a really short book...
(Now that I've seen the commercial, I finally understand what that thing is to the right of the landing party!)
Kirk looks rather pudgy there. Bones has been letting him slide on his physical it seems.
Thank you! I had a lot of fun putting it together!
The playset was real. I had it.
