April Challenge: With Hate's Heart...

For the April Challenge I decided to go with the theme of hatred, a counterbalance to the theme of love from the February Challenge. I got such great entries the last time I hope that can be replicated with this challenge. So, basically, this month the challenge will revolve around hatred, it can be personal or impersonal, it can be political, racial, religious, gender, technological, etc.

Guidelines:

Any Star Trek era, canon or your own creation. Crossovers with other franchises like Doctor Who, BSG, Stargate, etc. are fine as long as there is some tie to a Star Trek universe.
7,000 word limit.

Oh man, I had an idea for a rather lengthy Bluefin story that centered on a long-held hatred finally reaching its ultimate outcome. Not sure I can get it down to 5000 words, but regardless, this is a great challenge theme!

I made some alterations. The world limit is now 7,000. Also, I wanted to change the closing time to Eastern Standard Time.

"Hatred", eh? Interesting... I do have a couple of ideas, I'll see if I can develop an actual plot out of 'em. If I'm able to, this will be my first time writing something for one of these challenges, whooo (Strange to make my debut with a story about hate )

ooo, I have a great idea, but I'm not sure I can use it. It's one of my characters "Flashbacks" to when he was younger that I could probably expand on and make it a longer story. But that might count as "previously written"

Kaziarl, please submit it. There's no prohibition on previously written material for this challenge, and from the way you describe it, it's not previously written. It sounds like you're expanding, or adding something new to a story. Rush, I hope you're able to submit something and I have little doubt that few challenges are too big for you. Saito S, there's no time like the present to jump into a challenge, and hopefully this one is broad enough to do all types of stories. Also, SS, thanks for your comments on my March challenge entry.

Alright then, let me see if I can polish it off. Still working on the revisions to my Katana series to try and get that off to the publisher soon. (missed my personal deadline on that one, lol)
