April Challenge: A Trek Odyssey

As has been, uh, kindly suggested , April's art challenge will be a Trek homage to Arthur C. Clarke. I don't know what kind of influence each had on the other, but they've certainly both had an effect on sci-fi in general. Whatever you want to do with it is fine by me, as long as you can relate it to the topic!

In case some of you aren't familiar with some of Clarke's other contributions, might I start you off at the wikipedia page? He's done a lot more than just write science fiction!

Not that I've ever entered an art contest around here (came close one month, but couldn't finish in time), but how about BJ picks his own idea and the ACC contest just runs "parallel" for maybe two months. No point in screwing BJ out of his own art contest choice.

Just so you know, I happen to *like* the ACC contest idea. Yes, I did have other ideas, but I liked this one better.
