Beauty AND the beast, all in one!

This was done in GIMP. I happened to come across this tutorial on deviantArt for doing fur/hair, and it seemed perfect for doing a tribble! The only real difference is that in GIMP, I used the Bristles 02 brush (standard with GIMP) when doing the smudges.

Seriously, nice work on the smudging technique. That subtle shading around the outer edge, a tad darker underneath really gives it a sense of being quasi spherical.
