Anything for a peaceful sollution

We all know that it is a directive in Starfleet to use violence as a solution to any problem as a last resort. In fact, it was once stated that they would consider it a failure if they had to fight. That being said, which Star Trek captains would ever dress in drag to avoid a fight?

I imagine any of them would accept cross-dressing if it were somehow the way to avoid a fight. (I assume you mean with phasers and photon torpedoes flying from one ship to another, rather than a spirited round of fisticuffs.) After all, what's looking silly for a bit compared to a fair chance of having your (and their) crews wounded, possibly killed?

Kirk would go into it and receive several amusing quips and whimsical music cues, before and after the experience. Picard would accept it as part of what enlightenment means in practice; Sisko would probably cast off a grim joke about necessities and all that while receiving one or two in turn. Janeway would have it couched in some Core Founding Star Fleet Principle we just discovered this week. Archer would be all sulky about it and then get on the end a joke from T'Pol or Tucker.

Sisko wouldn't. Oh, he'd dress in drag, no problem. But since when would he WANT to avoid a fight?

Mackenzie Calhoun wouldn't. he'd come up with a cunning plan where it looks like he's done it, but actually hasn't.

Yeah, I think pretty much any of them would do it if the situation were dire enough. I haven't read NF since MIA came so I could really say for sure about Mac though.

Kirk would take it all in stride, except for the fact that Bones and Scotty would never let him live it down.

Spock wouldn't ever raise an eyebrow. Embarassment is an emotion, after all.

Patrick Stewart is British, and British actors do so love to appear in drag for whatever inexplicable reason, so Picard would do it.

Sisko would dress in his regular uniform, and glower menacingly at anybody who looked at him. Nobody would dare question why he isn't actually in drag.

Janeway routinely appears in drag with such frequency that only the Doctor knows the truth behind the "woman" who was born Kevin Jakeway. (I kid )

Archer - Not a chance. By the time he finished whining about it, it would be too late.

Riker boasted about the revealing/embarrassing outfits he'd worn on past diplomatic missions in "Angel One". Picard wears the embarrassing headcloth the alien ambassador provides him in "Insurrection".

Good point Therin. They have deffinitely proven that they don't mind doing something some people might find embarrassing if the situation requires it.
