Anyone watch US Top Gear?

I've never seen it, but I highly doubt it'd ever be as good as the UK version. It's not the reviewing cars or the interviews that do it for me, it's the arsing around that makes Top Gear what it is.

Things like travelling to France in a Toyboata.

I have no interest in this show. It looks like it could be coo, but im tired of the History chanel having shows that offer no history. I remember a time when the history chanel had documentaries or other history programs on all day. I'm glad they got rid of all the WW2 stuff, but they haven't improved in recent years. The Discovery chanel offers more to me. I give them more leway because you can "discover" anything.

I have seen some segments of Top Gear USA and it seems to be a rather good car program.

But I don't like cars. I do like Top Gear UK. Why? Because it is one of the funniest television programs on television. The presenters don't take themselves or the program seriously. The challenges and even the tests are hilarious because Hammond, May and Clarkson are hilarious presenters. Those three men are what make Top Gear great, not the format.

I watched the third ep (with the moonshining) and I have say I quite enjoyed it. The show is definitely improving.

Never was a car person myself, so maybe that's why I don't care for the American cousin.
