Anyone seen James Cawley of ST: Phase II in the movie?

He was on the bridge.

When Spock comes back onto the bridge after he has spoken to Sarek in the transporter room (after he relinquishes command), Cawley is there in a gold shirt near the turbolift.

For that matter, where was Chris Doohan, James Doohan's son? I don't know what the guy looks like, so I know I missed him but I am wondering wear he was.

Yeah, it's at about one hour thirty-four minutes. He's not immediately recognizable (if you know him from "Phase II") because his hair is styled in 1960s "Starfleet" fashion rather than his customary 'do.

Jim Cawley?

Did anyone catch James Cawley in the movie? Did he make it in? I didn't see him, I was just wondering if he made it or was left on the cutting room floor.

Re: Jim Cawley?

Sorry if there was already a thread on this. Which scene was it, so I can look for it when I head back for my second viewing?

Re: Jim Cawley?

When Spock reenters the bridge to suggest that he should be the one to beam aboard the Narada, at about 1 hour and 34 minutes in, Cawley is standing by the elevator holding a clipboard. He's in a gold shirt, with his hair flattened down.

Funny thing is, the way Abrams likes to frame things I believe Cawley is center frame and Quinto is off to one side - but the focus definitely is on Quinto anyway.

Re: Jim Cawley?

^Thanks, Dennis. I'll check it out on my next viewing. Good for James - glad he made it in.

Re: Jim Cawley?

The original Spock in New Voyages also appears in one of the scenes, but I haven't caught him yet.

He is in a bridge scene and so is his ego!

Is there a reason for that remark, other than simple envy?
Yes there is! I think what James is doing with PHASE 2 is just great! The production would be better served if James would be content in producing and overseeing every aspect of the episodes of PHASE 2, and hire a actor to play the part of Captain Kirk. That will never happen. I met him one time and the only thing he said to me was that he thought my costume was not authentic enough. I have a very good original series costume that a friend made for me. So thats my impression of Mr. Cawley!
