Anyone played with Mac OS X 10.7 Lion yet?

Cool screenshots, I like the new "About this Mac" window. The rest of them look like they're mucking around with things like the shapes of button edges and the exact shades of gray windows should be more than is really necessary. The "under the hood" changes are nearly always better and more interesting than the endless tweaks to the Aqua interface (is it still called that?) Maybe they'll put the close/minimize/expand buttons in iTunes back in a horizontal row...I can dream, right?!

No, but I've read a lot. It looks freaking amazing.

The only thing I'm not a fan of is how all the different 'view modes' are getting out of hand. As dense as Paul Thurrott usually is about Apple products, he's made a very good point about how Dashboard, Spaces, Mission Control, and Launchpad are all starting to all horn in on each other's territory.

I was kind of hoping that Mission Control was going to reign all these things in and replace most of them as a big master-view mode. But it looks more like it's just another option to add to the fruitcake.

But seriously, that's my one complaint and I could go on with 2 dozen compliments if you gave me the time. I'm super-happy with the OS as a whole. (And the new Safari using Webkit 2 sounds amazing from what I hear.)

Finally got it installed. Running fine, not many bugs. At present I can't see anything majorly different; I'd call it Snow Leopard 2 really.

Launchpad is cool, thought it would be a bit naff but it's actually quite helpful.

My only gripe so far is the 'reverse scrolling' function, which is opposite to all other operating systems. Changed that back straight away. :)
