Anyone know any good Trek resources for research?

I'm doing one of those Picard v Kirk things for my blog and am finding it hard tracking down information on either. Wiki helps but is very limited. For instance, I can find out about seven medals/commendations Kirk has but none are listed for Picard, and surely he must have been awarded some? I'd like also to see how many battles each was in, how many treaties they may have held/participated in, alien races they met etc., without having to watch all episodes of both series plus the movies.

Anyone know of a resource like that, that would give me information on our two main captains?

Don't know any resources, sorry. On the Memory Alpha page, I did spot that Picard was "awarded with the Grankite Order of Tactics (Class of Excellence) for the development of the Picard Maneuver".

Chakoteya has transcripts of all the episodes and all the movies except ST Darkness. There are a small number of mistakes.

ST Eleven is there too, but (iirc) it's in Doctor Who somewhere.

Thing to remember about Memory Alpha is that it's a fan site and the entries include interpretations, assumptions and personal points of view by the person/persons who wrote the articles.

One example of a interpretation is in WRLGMO, the dialog has Kirk saying his brother Sam "saw me off on this mission," MA uses that as a reference for claiming Sam was there when Kirk began his five-year mission of exploration in command of the Enterprise.

Still, it's an excellent place to start any research.

Thanks for that, but transcripts aren't really any use to me, as I'm watching each episode as I summarise it myself.
