Anyone here watched Lexx?

Lexx was definitely different. I thought Kai's character and story was interesting. Oh great, now that Brunnen-G song is going to stick in my head. Yoh A O, Hom Var Ray!

I know what you mean... I love that song, but it never wants to leave your head...
A friend of mine borrowed all my DVD's of it and then died, so I may have to 'acquire' the shows again another way.

My attitude towards Lexx can best be summed up with two letters:

Ew.

That sounds like the proper response to first viewing how their toilets work on the LEXX(The LEXX eats everything and then cleans you up with a gigantic tongue). Don't even ask about the showers!!!
Tried to edit my other post to add this reply, but the edit function is missing???

Ah, grave robbery, excellent! I'll get the shovel!

(Seriously though, I know what you mean. I haven't loaned any DVDs to anyone who's died but I did loan my copy of Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog to a coworker that subsequently got fired. She tried to get it back to me by giving it to another coworker who also got fired shortly after that and I never saw him or the DVD ever again. There's another coworker who borrowed my complete collection of Excel Saga and then returned it to me only a week before he got fired. I learned that there's too much turnover in call centers to trust loaning anything important to them.)

I'm Canadian, so I remember when Lexx first aired it was on Global. The original movies. Then Space got the TV series later.

Course, I was 12 when the movies first aired...so I didn't understand a lot of it.

I loaned my first edition copy of the Star Trek role playing game to a DM once and he promptly moved out of town taking it with him...

You seem to have a gift. Try loaning things to people you don't like.

Mostly just gross for the sake of it seemingly. It's only redeeming feature for me was the Brunnen-G song.
Not even the Bunny shower scene?

I think I liked the idea of Lexx more than the execution oft times but sometimes that can be enough but sometimes it was a bit of a slog. I liked the evocative imagery of Fire and Water in season 3 and the twisted satirical trip to Earth in season 4 was fun. I should rewatch it, I think Prince’s running of the government might hit close to home now.

Don't recall the scene you reference but the TV channel in the UK did censor Eva Habermann's shower scene. Gratuitous nudity mostly to demonstrate Stanley's sexual frustration. Worked just as effectively in the censored version.

In fairness, I wouldn't have loaned out my copy of Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog at all had I actually cared whether or not I got it back. And I subsequently purchased a copy of Excel Saga vol. 1 specifically to be my "loaner" copy in case I want anyone else to watch it just to prove that I'm not making it up when I try to explain that show.
