Anyone Famous Here?

ChaseGate was pretty awesome.

When Shatner posted, I seem to remember his daughter had contact with someone on the staff before he came on. He did post, I remember reading it. I think he had a gold username and everything.

Mike Sussman has posted here as well. I exchanged some emails with him after In a Mirror, Darkly premiered.
I also remember David A Goodman posted here in a discussion about a Family Guy episode that made a dig at Brannon Braga. There was some pwnage in the thread of disbelievers, too.

I'm famous... here.
OMG! You're that man from TrekBBS, right?

You look taller on the message board! But I really didn't expect that...err...smell...umm.

*tumbleweed*

Err...OK, you can let go of my hand now...please. Please let go of my hand. Please.

I am just wondering if someone is famous and sees and idea on here...will they use it or whatever.

I have personally seen ideas, and quotes from this forum end up on the shows in question. For example, someone mentioned that the light in the hatch on "Lost" was someone going to the bathroom, and the very next season that same joke was used. I find it hard to believe it was a coincidense.

[Eko] "Do not mistake coincidence for fate." [/Eko]

It used to be a lot more extensive, but some jackass kept editing it down to nothing.

Thats irritating. There were pages on me and my company (and other things connected to them) but were removed for 'self promotion'. Even though I, nor any company source, wrote them.

I have noticed other things go missing from that site which leas me to wonder who would bother searching through items every day to edit them to their perfection.

Yeah. Delusions of grandeur don't count, RJ. ;)
How about delusions of "hopefully a couple of people out there like me a little bit?"

I am really Karl Urban.

I only appear as a 31 year old geek to stop myself from being constantly shagged by hordes of women.

Good to know. You should come by Terran. And we still have Chat on Saturday afternoon. ;)

Sorry - I keep forgetting, but I have lurked there. :)

Back to the topic though:

I do sometimes wonder if famous people ever sign up to these places - or if they're either:

A) Too busy.
B) Too frightened of what would happen if people found out.
C) Ensuring that their appearances are carefully monitored and controlled in order to put the best possible spin on themselves.
