Anyone else think Brent Spiner is annoying?

I met Spiner at Chiller Theatre in NJ. He was in the same small room as Jonathan Frakes and the two of them were fricking hysterical. I had them sign some "children's plates" with their faces on them and Frakes got into this big rant about how he never saw that before and he's sure nobody got royalties, except maybe Patrick Stewart. I wish I had been able to record it, they were both amazingly funny. Then they took pictures with me. :-)

...although Spiner in the old man makeup with the Mark Twain accent in TNG was, IMHO, not good.

That wasn't Spiner, that was a stage actor noted and acclaimed for his portrayal of Twain.

I meant Spiner as old Dr. Soong. He had kind of a Mark Twainy twang to his voice, I thought.

Not that I'm that high on the real Mark Twain impersonator actor in "Time's Arrow," either. It's no reflection on the man or his craft: it's just a personal thing, like how some people are freaked out by clowns. I just can't get into Mark Twain impersonators. Or even the hint of a resemblance to them. :)

Yeah, I found his Mark Twain performance to be... "broad" as well.

Didn't mind Spiner as old Soong, though.

Then this may give you nightmares, or at least heebie jeebies.
