Anyone else sick of Miley Cyrus?

She has it all. No musical talent, ugly face, shapeless body, annoying voice and extremely low intelligence.

You just listed all of her best features.

Lately, there's been her stupid comments on practically everything in the news.

Next stop....rehab

Miley Cyrus: ‘I won’t take advice from old Jewish men’

Yeah, I'm sure this will end just as well for her…

(Yeah, I know. Old thread. But it seemed like an appropriate one to post this in).

You could have, you know, started a new one.

Personal preference. I myself enjoy the resurrection of older threads since it brings a sense of past perspective on the topic and might even save having the same points brought up as before.

Am I specifically sick of Miley Cyrus? No.

I am sick of the Star Making Machinery behind the popular song, in general. Where they've found a way to exclude artistry from the process completely and I'm sick of the zillions of interchangeable plastic faces marketed to kids.

But Miley Cyrus specifically, no. She's no worse than the other ones.

I love all the manufactured outrage she's generating now. I think the highlight has to be getting in a Twitter feud with Sinead O'Connor.

I find that Miley, the Kardashians and other celebs don't really impact my life much. Mostly they're the butts of jokes, so I get a laugh or two.

Who would have thought that Billy Ray would turn out to be the stable one in the Cyrus clan?

I'm not sure why but I feel physically sick every time she sticks out her prehensile tongue in an juvenile attempt to look lascivious. She could swing through tree branches by that thing.

I feel the same way it's just like, "Girl, that's not cute or sexy. Knock it off!"

It's been like that since music became a business, we just feel that the quality has gone downhill.

When i look back at the late 80s/early 90s when i was the target demographic of teenage stars (well, as a boy not as much) i see boybands like New Kids on the Block and similar crap which we really enjoyed.

Hell, i had an album by Whitney Houston back then where she's all glammed up 80s style and it has some really awful upbeat disco songs on it.

All i'm saying is that Miley is going through a phase and i fully expected it to happen, i.e. the transition from cute child star to "woman". Many did it before her (Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears) and all of them overdid it because they either really believe that what they do is hot (may be for many teenagers who think that a nice body that's barely covered is the epitome of hotness) or because their record company/PR people think this sells (and they're not wrong).

All of them have one thing in common though.. they're all talented and it's a phase. Some might not get through it undamaged (Spears) and some come through and develop a more modest sexuality that's actually far more appealing to adult audiences (Aguilera).

One can only hope she won't crash and burn when the time comes where she got it out of her system and can find hr place and style as an adult.

I think she's a sweetheart, I think she's intelligent, and she does have a good voice. Right now she's young, she has star power, and she's trying to get away from a previous career where she was under the thumb of a rather draconian media corporation.
