Anyone else REALLY want to see a art of star trek book?

I like that engine room. Big departure from the usual Trek fare (glowy tubesville) - seems very submarine-inspired. And it's visibly compartmentalized. The transparent floor seems a tad impractical to me, though.

What were the producers thinking?! This engine room is far superior to what we got! Sure, it may not make beer, but other than that...

Agreed %1000! and I think the producers may have been drunk to begin with to go with the ''Beergine'' room look.

Yeah, that book is stuffed from cover to cover with misinformation and misattributed stuff. The art's good to look at, but I'd pass over the text.

It's not working for me now too!?!?!?!:wtf: it was working before when I put it up! what's the deal?
The JJverse doesn't seem to want people examining itself too closely... both the pages at TrekMovie and Ryan Church's web site have been taken down.

Maybe Church's original Enterprise was too beautiful and it was making the one that made it to film look bad. :wtf:

At any rate, someone seems to have gotten upset at too much information being released.

I'd go for such a book - Church is definitely talented and skilled, and if I don't really care for his new design of the ship, his paintings of it are nonetheless art. The same applies to his Star Wars work - great art for otherwise mediocre movies; I love the books.

Yes, I absolutely do. But isn't Pocket convinced that such books don't sell? It would seem that the paradigm has shifted now, and they'd have access to pre-made artwork rather than having to commission tech manual type illustrations.

Seems like if they were going to release such a book they would have done so by now, those sorts of things usually come out with the movie so they get brought up in the hype. I'd love to have such a book though :)

Well, if the tech book is still up to a year away, there's still plenty of time for an art book. :techman:
