Anyone else love Seska?

Guy Gardener: no, as a matter of fact, I didn't miss it. I just forgot to mention "Maneuvers" in my previous post. Sorry. I actually watched that episode last night and had forgotten just how great the storyline was of the episode as well as the unexpected plot twists.

I am rewatching VOY all the way through for the first time in several years (at a rate of about 3 eps a week). I am a longtime VOY fan, but on rewatching S1 I am just blown away by Martha Hackett's Seska. She is consistently very, very good and creates one of the more complex characters in the VOY pantheon, IMHO. Hackett manages to steal just about every scene she is in, even from Mulgrew and Beltran (who usually get the best lines).

I just rewatched State of Flux, to cite an example, and was just incredibly impressed at the part they wrote for her and the way she was able to portray Seska in that show-cunning, sexy, vulnerable, scared, agressive, and hostile-all in one hour! She is equally good in Prime Factors, especially in the scene where she convinces Torres to go along with her plan.

Any other Seska fans out there?

I loved to hate her...
And I wanted more of her.

Seska was a great villian- she seem to start off as an non violent villian who just wanted to get home and showed some concern for some of her crew mates, but later really crossed over...

One thing though, if she wanted to get home faster, then why did she stay with the Kazon become the Madge's woman and have a child with him?

That's going backwards while Voyager was going forward.
