Anyone do Roleplay?

I have a roleplay going on in the Star Trek Timelines chat right now and it's slowly evolved into it's own fanfiction... anyone RP on STO (on Xbox one, my platform?)

I stopped playing STO because no one RP's, it seems. Just uninstalled it the other night. My character has been on there since the game was pay-to-play. It's a Science Captain with an Intrepid-class ship.

I don't use an XBox, however. PC-platform.

I tried once to do roleplay on STO. I invited a friend over to my ship to give him a tour. Big mistake, as he was always jumping around and threatening to shoot my NPC crew. Never tried it again.

There are serious groups on STO that do some good role playing... Ask around in some of the bigger chat groups. I know one of the players that does youtube vids goes by Shadowstar loves to roleplay.

There are a number of well developed rp storylines going on on Second Life. TOS, TNG era, Movie Era, Lost Era, even pre-NX01.

I briefly ran a tabletop Star Trek RPG. I'd love to do it again sometime, but I'm trying to get another RPG off the ground right now as is.

I've found that Discord can be very useful for organising Star Trek RP. I've been running one with a few personal friends and, while we've only been doing it a week or so, it's working very well due to the messaging application's instant nature.

I mean, I used to do a lot of it on Livejournal (writing paragraphs at a time etc) with Star Trek. I do other fandoms with RP at the moment but I do miss Star Trek RP (I always play McCoy) so I'll have to check out Discord to see if I can find any partners again.
