Anybody going to the inaguration?

The caring yet powerful all seeing eye of Obama is already looking over NASA Headquarters:

Obama be praised!

I'm not playing your silly little game Gertch, only an idiot could misinterpret his comment.

My original question stands.

That's a very racist thing to say. :wtf:

Hey, you done got the joke!

Racism is not a joke. I'm surprised you're giving someone a pass on expressing theirs.

"Humor...it is a difficult concept."

I really do feel like I'm back in the third grade now. Thanks, Gertch, for taking me back. :techman:

Sanity check: If I leave by 11am, arrive in DC by 12:30, there's a pretty good chance I'll be able to get a decent spot for the parade at 2:30....I think.

No. No you won't. They're saying that you can only go to either the ceremony or the parade because the entire parade route should be full well before the ceremony ends.

They're opening Penn Ave at 8 am, I think. I wouldn't be surprised is it was full by 11.

I'm going to the ceremony and I'm leaving the same time I would if I were going to work. 6:30. Metro at 7:15 (I hope). Downtown around 9ish (I hope).

I may push the time back a bit then. But I don't intend to be standing around for 5 hours for this. It's going to be below freezing out there.......if I can't get close, I can't get close. Oh well.

No need to thank me. You found your own way very nicely with that childish line.

It is so good of you to be so gracious to those of us less mature and refined than you are. We just can't help ourselves. :(

Of course, it also depends on where you park it. If you're at the head end of the parade route it'll fill up first but it'll also be over by 3. If you're down by the White House it won't be over until 7ish.

Says the person who was being completely childish regarding an obvious joke.

Gertch, TimM, and trekkerguy, your recent comments in this thread consitute trolling in all three of your cases. All three of you have been here long enough to know better. Knock it off.

Even if I was in DC this week, I doubt I would go to the inauguration. It's way to cold for me to be comfortable standing outside for long, and you have a better view of the event on NBC.

I totally wanted to go to Obamastock, but the car konked out and there was reports that I might be called back into work. Meh, I'll watch it on TV tomorrow, I guess.
