Any space for Q in upcoming episodes:

Q just doesn't fit Discovery.

Q: "You can't deny you're still a dangerous, savage child race."

Lorca: "Who says I'm denying anything?"

Q: "Farpoint will make an excellent test."

Lorca: "Sorry, but I'm going to have to skip out."

Q: "Humanity will be destroyed."

Lorca: "I'm shaking in my boots."

Q: "You'll be denied existence."

Lorca: "How about we deny today existence?"

The only way I see Q working on Discovery is to have the crew away-teaming to a planet, finding an a**hole god-like prankster being, ala TOS, but never really finding out who he is. Maybe the audience knows only. I could see them doing that. DeLancie playing some TOS-like being and only the audience knows who he really is.

Time has no meaning to the Q. He could travel back to any point in Star Trek history and then erase his visit from the memories of everyone he meets. It's a possibility but I can't see it happening. At least not for a very long time. Would probably need a recast too. Or maybe a different member of the Q race.

Yes, dear God please. Q could finally fix this show and provide plausible explanation for why this universe looks so different from the Prime universe we know and love.

It seems that the hierarchy is:
Them (Q&A) - above all in existence
P Continuum (Spock vs. Q) - Q to the Q
Q Continuum & M Continuum (I, Q) - The M are younger by milliseconds or something, but they are equals or near-equals

The Q and the M were born with the Universe. Them are older and have destroyed previous universes, and there's insufficient evidence on whether the P are older than the universe or have just transcended the Q through some means.
