Any recommendations never read a ST book before?

Garak is featured in the Terok Nor books we get to see alot of wonderfully written backstories for Kira& Odo in these books.As well as other Bajoran and Cardassians featured in the Ds9 relaunch books.

Don't. Just don't. You will end up addicted, skulking through Amazon and Ebay looking for out of print paperbacks, your house increasingly cluttered with TV tie-in books. Pathetic.

Well, that's at least what my wife says.

Another reminder how lucky I am to have married a woman who's a bit of a geek girl. Built her own PC ages back, avid gamer, Star Trek fan, compatible with me on damn near everything else, too.

Seriously though, as others have said, check out the DS9 relaunch. I'm about to start them, and people seem to be rabid about them.

IMHO, DS9 was the best Trek TV series, because of its large cast of characters, its serial storytelling, and its willingness to take risks and explore consequences rather than moving on. The DS9 relaunch books live up to all of that without just repeating or imitating what happened on TV.
