Go ahead and get a WD by all means. They make good drives with good performance (probably a little better performance than Seagate, overall) and you will probably be fine with one. I tried a Seagate a few years ago when all the other manufacturers reduced their warranties from 5 years to 1 year and I've been happy with them.
