Any News On Future Aventine Books?

...or on Bashir and Sarina?

Yet another question on what to look forward to, and when to look forward to it, I suppose....

No. But we've got so much other stuff to look forward to that I'm not that upset. I'm sure we'll see them again eventually.

An Aventine-(mini-)series would be great, the Slipstream-drive opens the entire galaxy for exploration, that's lots of space for classical exploration-tales... "These are the voyages of the Starship Aventine on it's five-year-mission to circumnavigate the galaxy, to explore strange new worlds, new lifeforms and civilizations, to boldly go where even the Voyager has never been before..." ;)

^Well, how well did Zero Sum Game do? I'd love to see a direct sequel to that--but with more for Ezri to do, character-wise. Show us what she's feeling--show us the internal conflicts hinted at in the "dinner scene" in ZSG. What was it that set her off like that? What was it that "darkened" her mood, as Bashir saw? Was it jealousy? Was it frustration at Bashir being played--something her "woman's intuition" could have seen coming--and his falling for it so completely? What is it?

Personally I'd like to see a Aventine Miniseries or, a full one at that. A new ship, a new way to travel. It would be a marvelous undertaking.

Yeah, and with Vanguard and Mirror Universe ending there will be more open spots in the schedule.

i'd hardly call 2 trade-paperback collections of short novels, a trade anthology and 2 novels a series. alright, maybe it is, but it's hardly the same as Vanguard, New Frontier or Titan, is it?

And it ties in with ongoing "Mirror" events that occurred over several novels in the DS9 Relaunch - and there was PAD's "New Frontier" mini-series for IDW. (Wow, the early cover art for "Fearful Symmetry" actually had a "Mirror" banner title!)

^That's what JD was talking about? The two paperbacks?

I agree--I'd hardly call that a series whose "ending" would be a big deal, room-wise....

I pretty much consider anything with a unique title a series, and more than one book a series.
