Any favorite Bad Guys/Gals...

In keeping with the theme of favorite scenes, I thought I would start a new thread. Favorite Bad Guys/Bad Gals who appeared on Voyager. I have not given this much thought. The BORG Queen is a logical choice, however, what about Annorax from "Year of Hell" pts 1 and 2. This guy wastes and unwastes countless species for a couple of hundred years. With little or no reguard for the people he kills and then unkills and they kills again. At least with the BORG, once they have assimlated you that it that...

Species 8472. They were sufficiently alien to be interesting for a change.

I loved the Vidiians. Of course, Q is fun, but not really all that much of a threat any more. Frankly, I'm tired of the Borg. Seska was awesome; I'm sorry she died. The 8472 aliens were too "out there" to be a long-term villian--I mean, you have to be able to interact with them. I have a "thing" about Kashyk; I just think he and Janeway were perfect foils. The biggest missed opportunity, IMHO, is the Vaaduar. I wish we'd had more of them instead of so much Borg. And, in the finale, a return of the Caretaker species would have been nice.

Annorax and the Vaadwaur
Two of my favorites, too. It's amazing how sympathetic and complex "Annorax" became due to a simple scene or two with his wife. It's a real credit to Kurtwood Smith, who is an excellent actor.

And I am a fan of Rob Knepper as the Vaadwaar, "Gaul," (who also played "Wyatt Miller" in STNG:Haven). He was a good villain, with that smokey, menacing voice, which couldn't be buried under all that makeup.

Another one I liked was the holographic villain in "Killing Game," played by J. Paul Boehmer. He wasn't menacing; but he was memorable, also because of a good voice. (The actor also played "Mestral" in ENT:Carbon Creek, as well as "One" in VOY-Drone.)

The Borg queen. She scares the hell out of me.
Kashyk for the one I like to hate.
Hirogens as a species of formidabe, bloodthirsty warriors. (Rare body part trophies. Ewww...)

Culluh and Seska. The ultimate "bad couple". I really like those episodes when they are involved.

Other than the obvious choices, I really liked Maje Cullah for some reason. He and Seska were a great villainous combo.

Individuals:
Seska
Captain Ransom
Lon Suder
Arturis

Species:
Species 8472
Viidians
Voth
Vaadwaur
Hirogen
Swarm

Looking back at it, VOY had a lot of bad guys-species wise that really could've been more memorable if they had been developed more-like the Voth, Swarm, and Vaadwaur for example. It's a shame they spent so much time on the Borg.

Most interestingly evil:
Hirogen
The aliens who conducted experiments on the crew in 'Scientific Method'
Borg Queen
Annorax

Favorite Characters:
Janeway
Chakotay
The Doctor

Alan Scarfe as the Mokra Magistrate, Augris, from "Resistance". A performance that still gives me the chills whenever I watch. <shiver> Brilliant!

I'd say Seska as the individual best villain. There was a complexity to her character that they were able to develop over time.
As for races, the Vidians were an interesting concept. the Hirogens were Trek-worthy, IMHO.
As for the Borg, I don't personally have a problem with the idea of the Queen, as many do, but I think the race suffered as antagonist due to the over-use of them in general.

As for the all-time meanest, bad-ass, scary villain?: Flotter.
