Any Decent Sitcoms Anymore?

Give Corner Gas a try? It feels very british at times in its attempt at humour; very dry and often sarcastic, plus no laugh-track in sight.

I approve this message :techman:

Plus, you get some really cool cameos:

"I'd rather listen to the weather." :guffaw:

Wasted-3511.jpg

I loved Wasted not sure how easy to find outside the UK though and even here can't find any details of a DVD release.

Oldies include Blackadder, Black Books, Spaced, Don't Trust The B In Apartment 23, How I Met Your Mother, Rules Of Engagement and Scrubs.

Also like Episodes, Brooklyn 99, Big Bang Theory and Angie Tribeca.

2 Broke Girls--I guess the producers thought a group of characters being as base as possible is a reflection of the world, thus they're relatable. Honestly, who on earth could listen to more than 5 seconds of Kat Dennings' character telling 5th grade "gross-out" slurs & jokes without hitting the mute selection?

I confess: I think Kat Dennings is a hoot (loved her in the THOR movies) and regard 2 Broke Girls as something of a guilty pleasure. It's shamelessly crude and vulgar, but it's that very shamelessness, and the enthusiasm with which they go for it, that's kind of endearing.

(Mind you, I cringe a little whenever the coarse Polish neighbor shows up, since she's not nearly as uproariously funny as the show seems to think she is.)

Galavant is available on Amazon Digital and possibly other streaming services. That was one of the funniest shows in a long time.

I will take the vulgar and crude of Two Broke Girls which at least is sometimes funny over the completely unfunny and dead Big Bang Theory.

However if we are talking CBS sitcoms, Mom wins by a mile.

Mom is pretty good.

TBBT is light years ahead of Two Broke Girls! I find it unwatchable. It's like it's written by 12 year old boys.

I finally thought of one that hasn't been mentioned yet: Selfie. Short-lived but so much fun!
