Any Corner Gas fans here?

I got my package in the mail! ALL SIX SEASONS OF CORNER GAS!!! Now I don't have to hang around YouTube all day!

I would like to thank this board for getting me hooked on this show. I don't think I would have found it otherwise. :techman:

It has just completed its six year run on CTV here in Canada and was created by stand up comedian Brent Butt. I know it has been syndicated in some US markets, too.

I'm a huge fan of this show. I even went on the tour of the sets in Rouleau and Regina, SK a few summers ago. I loved getting to sit in the booths at the Ruby and to even see the small town of Rouleau. The tour guide said there was a bit of a population boom in the town due to the show. The population went from 350 to about 400. :)

Anyone else a fan here at TrekBBS? Just wondering....

Since you ask, no.... I'm not a fan.

I tried watching a few different episodes, but found it way too boring and predictable and still today it baffles me that it was so popular.

Then again I'm from Nova Scotia where The Trailer Park Boys Rule, and is of a totally different sense of humor/maturity in comparison.

Yes, big fan here. Love it. I think it's very similar to Seinfeld in style.

Didn't like the series finale though. Kind of felt anti-climatic.

I heard that the set was decrepit, which I find sad. They should restore it or something and make it a tourist attraction.

Even better, make it a real location. Make it a real restauraunt and gas station, with the store being a store with some souvenirs from the show. They could even start a franchise of Corner Gas locations.

I really liked the show and I was disappointed when WGN America dropped it.

At 1st I thought it was just okay. After watching a few eps and getting a feel for it though, I really started to appreciate their kind of low key approach to humor.

Anybody ever notice that with 1 or 2 exceptions NOBODY on the show ever dates or has any sort of love interest? You don't usually see that on a sit com.

Hah, you mean aside from Hank always trying to pick up Lacey, right?
