Any chance of the DS9 Companion eBook being created?

With the DS9 documentary upcoming, I think it would be good to see the DS9 Companion being released as an eBook. It had more than just interviews, there are illustrations by John Eaves, the map of Bajor etc.

I wonder if Behr's print copy will appear in the documentary...

While I think it would be great, I don't know if it would be all that profitable for them. The market for big books like that is nowhere near as strong as it used to be. Never know, I guess. As to whether or not Behr's copy will show up in the doc, check out the coffee table in this screenshot from the Doc's IndieGoGo pitch:

Yeah, I doubt it. I don't think it did very well as a print book while the show was on the air, so I can't really see them releasing it as an e-book 20+ years later.

I think I have that magazine with Odo on the cover... The DS9 magazine published by Starlog?

The Companion was actually released over a year after DS9 ended.

I've gone to Amazon on multiple occasions hoping to score a copy for myself (even used) but no joy yet, at least not for the amount I've been willing to spend.

So I was curious, so I took a look at Amazon myself... yeah, that's insane!

I don't think there's a way for me, living in the US, to order from there? Perhaps exhibiting my own ignorance here. :p

You should be able to just order off that page and put in a US shipping address? Assuming that the merchant selling it ships to the US, at least.

Looking at the individual merchant entries, some of those even ship from the US, so that shouldn't be an issue. Still spendy, but $40+Shipping for the cheapest US-shipping entry there is still at least slightly better than $53+Shipping for the amazon.com merchants.

Yeah, first one I tried got rejected on the "we can't ship from here to there" principle. I'll poke at it a bit more, though I'm not even sure what the conversation rate is (yet).

ETA - Yeesh, even a place located in Indiana wouldn't ship to me through the UK site. Amazon.com lists "Good" copies starting at $50, which...is starting to seem reasonable.

Some Amazon UK sellers will sell to the US, but it's an option you have to enable.

What are these lies about Deep Space Nine ending twenty years ago?

If that was in response to me, I said "20+(plus), just because I didn't feel like doing the math, and I knew we had the 20th anniversary a few years ago.

It ended in mid 1999. It is currently March 2017. So almost 18 years ago now.

Didn't want to do the math? It was simple subtraction. Sheesh.

I was just going by the fact that we got all of the 20th Anniversary stuff with Prophecy & Change, Unity, ect. but I realize now that was the anniversary of the Emissary, not What You Leave Behind.:censored:
