Any chance of animated Avatar TLA follow-ups?

I was wondering if anyone knew if we might see a Nick-TV Movie carrying on some of the threads from Sozin's Comet, maybe about the time of the live-action film?

I've read suggestions that the creators are open to telling other stories in the Avatar-verse, but not necessarily continuations of A:TLA in particular.

As much as a small part of me would love to see some kind of continuation, I don't think it's possible. There are a few personal stories that could be mined like Zuko trying to find his mother or Aang searching for more Air Nomads, but nothing on the epic scale as the "bringing balance to the world" plot of Avatar's run. Abd the less said about prequels involving past Avatars, the better.

No way can every dangling thread ever be addressed, though ATLA did a fantastic job of that, IMO. I think there's room for at least one more two-hour adventure--maybe Zuko's Mom's hiding place is with the remaining air nomads? I know what the show's title is, but if Aang is truly TLA, then his successor is SOL--they'll have only his spirit to train them in Air-bending, and that can be an iffy proposition.

As to other Avatar stories, I think Nick would be better off testing such in their official magazine. Humorously, I can see stories of future avatar teams undertaking a quest for 'The Lost Star-Sword Of Master Sokka'. Can you imagine a future Ember Island-type play with all the heroes and such, now that they must be legends?

Zuko : Lightning? When did I shoot lightning? I'm 45, and I still have trouble with it!

Sokka : Don't remember the whole splitting-the-mountain part.

Katara : Mai, Zuko and I were never...errr, that close.

Mai : I don't think anybody was ever that close.

Toph : I'm blind, not mute, you morons! Though I did like the part where I moved the moon.

Aang : I access the other Avatars' spirits. I DON'T shape-shift into them!

Ty Lee : I'm so glad they made this--I didn't even remember half this stuff.

In the finale, Aang gained the ability to "energy-bend," which he used to
take Ozai's firebending away.
It stands to reason that he could use the same ability to induce airbending ability in others, thereby creating a new population of airbenders.

That's one I hadn't considered. He'd have to do that fairly soon, to insure that a few generations of airbending masters were available by the time his successor is to be trained. I'd be happy with a single TLA TV-movie--that way, we can all argue about how it messed up a perfectly good finale. :D

I'm sure that would be a thread of legendary status, second only to the thread of how M. Night Shyalaman will screw up the TLA movie.:p

I did pick up a special Avatar issue of Nick magazine that came out right around the time Book Two was on the air. There were some pretty cool stories, but they happened around the time of Book Two.

When are they going to come out with entire season box sets? This vol. 1 vol.2 crap is annoyingly expensive.

There are, there called the Complete Books 1, 2 and 3 for each season. They pop right up in a search on Amazon.
