Any cast memories of "Turnabout Intruder"

Robot wasn't in the pilot, either.
Good call...it was all meteor shower that screwed the Space Family Robinson and not sabotage.

The interesting thing to me was how much they re-used the pilot episode for big segments of the first 5 episodes before they went almost entirely camp.

And they re-used their pilot quiet effectively, actually, building out a whole series of episodes around those adventures.

The first season's camp quotient was fairly low, especially in the first half of the season. Penny also gets a lot more focus before the show becomes the Dr. Smith Cowardly Hour.

Well, the turning point for me was at the end of the fifth episode when suddenly Will, Dr. Smith, and the B-9 were all gathered round a campfire while the bubble-headed booby PLAYS a guitar and sings "Home On the Range". A big  moment for me.

But the season retained a lot of the eerie atmosphere that the later seasons would gladly abandon for goofiness.
