It's probably a long shot that anyone around here knows them; they're one of my favourite bands. But any Canadian who was paying attention to music in the late 90's/early 00's should know who Big Sugar is. Probably the only blues/reggae/rock bands I've ever heard who... well they're the only band I know who fits that description.
Anyway, they broke up around 6 years ago so their frontman Gordie Johnson could go and do his blues/metal project Grady. Which was equally awesome. But I just learned that Big Sugar is back together, touring and also about to release a new album "Revolution Per Minute". I can't wait. Sadly I live in Edmonton and I'm not on any of their current dates. But a guy can hope. I saw Big Sugar 6 times back in the day and they were all legendary shows.
