ANOVOS USS Discovery and Shenzou studio scale models

I MIGHT pay this for a comparable NCC-1701. Maybe. If I had 10k just lying around.

For Discovery? Never. I'm thoroughly enjoying the show. Still, never ever.

Yet another product ANOVOS will make a killing in profits on. I would guess they cost nowhere near that much to have made at all.

It seems large and high quality. I am also thinking it makes me more intererested in Eaglemoss (who I have ~25 ships from already) as that price point is tough to the point of being unpalatable. I think if I had that kind of money to spend on a toy, I would wait for a large plastic model and hire a hobbyist to make it pretty.

I'll happily, stupidly, will pony up the cash the moment ANOVOS does the DSC Enterprise.

Or, I'll just wait for Art Asylum/Diamond Select Toys to make one.

I don't like the phaser tip though.

I might cut that off, and use it for a smal scale model studio TV camera.

I get it harkens back to the Cage--but several ink pens have this Dr. Shrinker like ribbed disk stacked insert..

Place that inside a lucite cone--and it might make for a better pre-TOS phaser.

Let me pose a delicate question. If Amovos put out a 1701 as seen in TOS or the Disco version, would anyone buy one?

Anyone know how big "studio scale", is?

In the past it meant the same size as the studio models used for visual effects filming. Since the Shenzhou and Discovery are fully CGI, it really means nothing. I'd guess from the photos they are about 3 ft long.
