Another cheeky glimpse at the Tardis interior...

Uploaded it for those not in the UK. :techman:

Finally, The Sun prints something worthy of looking at and reading. :p

Not exactly the best view, especially not next to the one we had a few months ago.

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...r-Who-Matt-Smith-falls-over-on-the-grass.html

The colouring looks the same, and i can see a little bit of what looks like the upper level or a spiral stair case, maybe something like the Shalka Tardis.

Cool none the less. :techman:

A few of the glimpses we had in the first trailer seem to suggest the interior will be darker, almost blue-ish. It's really hard to tell what it's going to look like.

Alex

I took a screencap of one of those scenes to use in this weeks caption contest but it wasnt really caption worthy, and totally forgot about it until you mentioned the colour scheme.

Take a look at these images for example. Im guessing, along with a few hundred other Whovians out there that this is clearly a scene involving a repair job. However, pay attention to the base of the set that Smith is suspended over, it looks like the underside of the console room, albeit re-done with steps down rather than just an access grate, but to me, it looks as if he is under the console and we can see the core of it that goes under and into the tardis inner workings.

However, on a side note, ive lifted these ones from the trailer also, and an interesting thing occured to me...

Look at the floor where the hat stand is behind River and The Doctor... Its flat and polished somewhat... not metal grating... like... The show of old ;)

River lands at the Doctors door step... Where we see a sneaky peak at the walls...;)

Knocks Doctor over... Where we see said polished plain floor and hat stand...

Lands on floor where we see another glimpse of either the walls or staircase...;)

And, just for reference case, the Shalka Tardis, which had Richard E. Grant as the Ninth Doctor...

Veering slightly off topic here, but its just occurede to me..

And, i dont know if anyone remembers these images, but i started building a Tardis interior a few years back, but never finished it.

I based it loosly on an old toy i had as a kid which was some sort of alien city thing. Dunno who made it or what it was from, couldve even been a moon base toy set thing, anyway, regardless, that was my inspiration.

However, its similarity to the underside of the new tardis interior is striking in the fact the lower level has a dome like structure linking the console above to the tardis inner workings.

The upper upper level, with the various entrances and police box front was an adition, as when i was building it it looked a little, well, cramped when i placed the police box doors there. So i expanded it an created what looks like a promenade of some sort.

Anyway, here are the renders of the unfinished project, which is why they look so bare and simple looking.

Maybe EMH will remember them, it mustve been 2007 at least.

Bones, there is a path in, if you want to work for it.

1. Come up with an original idea, for a series or TV movie.
2. Write it to the best of your abilities.
3. Send it to the BBC Writers Room. This is an open door into the BBC. They're looking for original ideas, but also for people whoi can write well.
4. If they knock it back, write another one.
5. Repeat 3 & 4 until they accept something of yours.
6. Get on board any show and write a couple of episodes etc.
7. Approach BBC Cardiff with your new-minted reputation.

Now, that might sound hard. It isn't easy, but if you have the talent you say you have, then in a few years, you might be in that position. And at least the Beeb is open to new writers submitting scripts, unlike nearly every TV studio in America and Australia.

There y' go. Good luck with that.

More pics...

Ive dug out these images from my hard drive, they were posted here ages ago when we first saw them, so sorry to whoever may have taken them.

The colour scheme still looks similar and the basic set shape, with the domed interior.

Heres the first from the other day, its clear that its the same back drop.

And here are the other images from sometime last year. Where we have the reverse image of what we will see from the perspective of the doors, ala where Smith is being thrown out.

Dont know about anyone else, but iget a Firefly/Serenity vibe from this set.

And here are the images from the trailer of the "basement" that The Doctor is welding back together.

We can now get a comprehensive view of the inner structure from these few images. So the tardis has an upper level like the Shalka Tardis, the main level and the sub-basement.

The roundels seem to be more or less a random placing and actually round, Unlike the Excleston/Tennant tardis where the pattern is repeated.

Also, an observation on the previous Tardis set, the roundel design with the six sided hexagonal outer frame, was repeated down the shape of the console platform with the console forming a giant roundel with a six sided hexagonla frame right in the centre of the Tardis set.

Yeah, I'm quite aware of the cliquey nature of the writing staff on Doctor Who. It's just my sad little story works best when made in 2012.

End of the World, end of the Mayan calender thing?

If the time factor is so important, yeah, you just might have to make it fan fiction. If they are beginning to shoot Series 6 in June, I wouldn't be surprised if they have an idea of the stories/writers for Series 7.
