Another cheeky glimpse at the Tardis interior...

Finally, The Sun prints something worthy of looking at and reading. :p

Not exactly the best view, especially not next to the one we had a few months ago.

The colouring looks the same, and i can see a little bit of what looks like the upper level or a spiral stair case, maybe something like the Shalka Tardis.

Cool none the less. :techman:

A few of the glimpses we had in the first trailer seem to suggest the interior will be darker, almost blue-ish. It's really hard to tell what it's going to look like.

Indeed. We saw more of the new interior for the first season via promos, than we have on this one. It's been driving me nuts!

Mark

The photo there looks like the old interior, as if the new one had yet to be created (maybe the TARDIS is still repairing itself?).

Nope, that's certainly the same rear-lit thing from before. This is from Episode 11, the currently-filming episode (and possibly the last one in production for the new season).

But who cares about this season anymore? Why even watch it? Series 6 begins FILMING in June!!!

Goodness, you're right. It's easy to forget how far ahead they have to be in filming. This means I won't have long to get my script somehow sent to the BBC for season 7. It's a story that really has to be shown in 2012.

Yeah, pipe dream. But I may just give it a shot anyway.

It's hard to believe they've been filming since July.

It's an early episode, 4 and 5 so Smith's hair is more clean cut

I hate to rain on anyone's parade but the BBC aren't going to accept a spec Dr Who script. In fact I doubt they'd even read it. The only route to writing for Who is to become an established writer and then hope Moffat asks you to write a script. Even then it's likely you'd be given a specific story idea rather than being allowed to come up with something that was entirely your own.

If you want to be a writer for the BBC then the best route is via the BBC Writers Room and submitting a script for a one off drama or a sitcom. Even if you do become a succesful writer, I suspect there'll be a lot of Who writers in the queue before you.

This isn't to say you might not succeed. But you need to be at least a trifle realistic. Me, I'm not expecting to be writing for Who until at least the 12th Doctor ;)

Yeah nowadays producers get in trouble with their legal department for even opening a script from an outside source.

Plus which, they only got like 13 episodes a year to worry about, so I doubt they're really hurting for ideas. Unlike, say, TNG back in the day, which had 26 episodes to fill and needed all the inspiration they could get. Heck, Moffat ALONE probably has enough story ideas to fill 5 seasons.

Yeah, plus you have the competition of all those unheard of writers like Neil Gaiman etc :)

It isn't impossible for a fan to become a writer on a show (take Ron Moore, RTD, Moffat etc) but on thw whole you don't work into your ultimate job. Like anything else it takes patience, hard work, paying your dues and a healthy dose of luck.

Yeah, I'm quite aware of the cliquey nature of the writing staff on Doctor Who. It's just my sad little story works best when made in 2012.

Cliquey?

Getting your excuses in early eh?

There's nothing to stop you writing it as fan fiction?

Yeah, but that just makes me another sad person on the internet with his Doctor Who stories no one wants to read. As well as a sad person on the internet with his Doctor Who reviews no one wants to read.

Frankly many writers began with fan fiction, and people do read your reviews don't they?

I don't know. Do you?

My concern would be that someone may come along and steal all my bright ideas. Maybe I'll get my script together and attempt to post it to everyone who may have been involved with Doctor Who ever. Of course, once series 7's filmed and my .00000000001% chance of getting my script made then hits 0, I'll have a go at being all conventional. Maybe write a seventh Doctor New Adventures novel to give some slight connection to the show, write some supposedly ground-breaking TV about gay people having underage sex, and be a complete media luvvie until I get the gig.

Or if you're talented and have a gift for that kind of thing, you could write a novel or a play or a movie script and become famous on your own terms. No need for preemptive bitterness.

Jesus aren't you young to be so freaking bitter?

Throw in some actual writing talent, and you'll be set.
Since when was that required for New Who?

Haha, I am joking.

Yeah, but my Doctor Who story is specifically 2012. And I can see a lot of appeal in writing for it; the possibilities are nearly endless, especially with the budget and CGI wizardry of the new show. In terms of concept, it's a fantastic way of doing all kinds of things. Making it all the more irritating when you get another present day Earth episode.

I was being a bit tongue-in-cheek.

But no.
