Announcing my new STAR TREK projects!

On the one hand, as I've stated before, i would have thought the most appropriate regular crew through which to explore the Kinshaya would have been the Gorkon, not the Enterprise.

I don't think the Gorkon would be used to "explore" the Kinshaya so much as "mindlessly slaughter" them. ;) I'm assuming Picard and co, by contrast, will leave actual live Kinshaya around, long enough to feature in a full novella. :p

This would, I trust, be a safe assumption to make where Picard's concerned. Even with Worf as his first officer acting as a complication.

Congrats Christopher! I'm disappointed in the eBook-only format myself since the Typhon Pact stuff is what I'm most interested in and I can't afford an eReader, but it's great news for both gigs!

I never got into the e-books as e-books before, been buying the dead tree reprints but my attitude has changed, the technology has changed, the market is changing so I'll be buying your e-book when it comes out.

I like the idea that the eBook is testing the waters again, and I'm assuming that Pocket believes DTI will do well enough to justify a prequel even before its release (possibly due to pre-orders?) means that you might get even more work in that vein.

Congrats, Christopher.

^ unfortunately Ian doesn't watch Doctor Who, so is probably totally lost with that reference. I LOL'd though. :)

^ How unfortunate. I'll let you know when I plan to visit Sydney later this year and we can coordinate on introducing him. :p

Christopher, is the Enterprise book going to be another post-TMP book, or is it going to be in another time? (Both would be great but I loved Ex Machina.)

^ from past experience (i.e. when Emh visited), we will be spending the whole day with booze, food, and errrr.... booze. :D

I don't think I should confirm anything until the outline is approved. Let's just say I'm hoping to cover more than one time period.

Oh, good. :D

I Googled it. Before he typed it, actually. :guffaw:

Looking forward to showing you around.

Or, that was a fun trip wasn't it!?
Gonna be in Brisbane from July to December since my law school has a fantastic exchange program with Griffith. Already planning trips to other places. (And haven't really said much about it here.)

Ah, neat.

Sounds great. I'm not really a big fan of e-books myself but I have bought 3 of Slings and Arrows, which is on my computer. Still hoping for a hard copy some day. I plan to buy both books through.

Update: The title of the Typhon Pact novella has been changed. Instead of The Courage of Conscience, it will now be called Star Trek: Typhon Pact: The Struggle Within.

Christopher, does part of the crew get trapped in a forgotten history, lost presumed dead?

Also did you like the new movie? since you're a scientist, or is it in your contract to love it to death?
