Disney has announced a new animated movie they'll be releasing in 2018 titled Moana.
IO9 has this description in their article:
The main character will be Moana Waialiki, a sea voyaging enthusiast, and the only daughter of a chief in a long line of navigators. When her family needs her help, she sets off on an epic journey. The film will also include demi-gods and spirits taken from real mythology
It's still quite a way away, but I've enjoyed their last few movies I've seen so I'm looking forward to it.

Can we get a 3D-CGI Little Mermaid!?!?

WB Should give us a Princess of Themyscira movie. Bat Of Steel Vs Justice doesn't count!!! :p

I'm probably not going to see it since I don't really go see children's movies these days, but I'm liking the Polynesian theme.

The film, which features CG animation which Bleeding Cool suggests will be evocative of the 2012 short "Paperman," is being directed by John Musker and Ron Clement, best known for Aladdin and The Princess and the Frog.
^ The best part of these news. I can't wait!

Yeah, that has me pretty excited too. Paperman was great, and I love the idea of a full length movie done in that style.

... the only daughter of a chief...
So they will be able to add her to the Disney Princesses brand.

Just out of curiosity, I just watched part of Paperman on youtube, and the animation is gorgeous. I like the idea of a full length movie made in a similar style.
