Angels Take Manhatten Teaser

Yeah, which I am not... ;)

BTW, don't make the same mistake as I did and watch the BBC America trailer (not this teaser bit) if you want to remain unspoiled. :(

Edited to clarify.

Wow, love the mood of that. Almost makes me wish this was another Blink-style episode where we just followed that guy for an hour.

"Blink" has to be one of the best DW episodes.

Sally Sparrow might have made an interesting companion

Yeah, not many spoilers there. It reminds me a lot of Blink, told from the pov of an outsider.

Its strange though. These episodes set in America just don't feel like Doctor Who to me. I guess its the missing British accents that throw me off.

Yes but with all of time and space to play with it's nice to see different parts of Earth and the universe rather than the UK.

After all one might get the impression that the UK sits at some sort of nexus point. As much as the Doctor suffers from Chronic Hero Syndrome, things might go better for you as an invader if you pick some other place than his adopted home.

While I'm fine with it not being a Doctor-lite episode like Blink, I agree that the tone there is better. The Angels two-parter, while good in many ways, definitely didn't have the same feel to it as Blink.

I've got no problem with stories set in the US. I think its great. I was just saying that it feels strange when most of the cast is speaking with American accents.
