^^^ IIRC, that was concept art for a Cetacean tank on the Enterprise-D that was supposed to hold dolphins and other sentient aquatic life who were serving as functional members of the crew. But, I've been known to be wrong. Would have been a cool concept back then, though, but it would have likely cost too much in SFX.

Look at the uniforms/suits in Probert's painting, and the suit Sulu is wearing in the new leaked spy photos...

That is true. But it is a concept not for the TV series, but for Star Trek: Online, currently residing in development hell.

Have we now seen a Starfleet fighter? I think so. Looks like a reasonable variant to Probert's Sphinx workpod, and it looks almost a close-cousin to the Killer Bee (itself an off-shoot of the TMP-era work bee pods) of fandom fame to boot!
