It's really wrenching to think that life can be so painful to someone that they would want it to end. I wonder why he stopped taking his medicine; if he had continued, he may still be alive now.

It was very nice of his father and mother to think of others at a time like this; their comments to others thinking of suicide were very sensitive-- and true.
