andPOP's review of the "screener footage"...decidedly mixed

The guy thinks Trek lacks intellectual depth? What, and Wars does have it?

Wars has all the actual depth of a paddling pool.

That's not what he said. In fact, he said the opposite. He did say that the 'non-screening screening' didn't have it, though, and it didn't measure up to such things that Trek was known for in comparison to Battlestar Galactica.

Really though, the 'lament' of the article seems to be that Paramount is acting very strangely in how close they're keeping to the vest on this movie.

That guy is 'like a poor marksman'...

I love science fiction, but I'm not a Star Trek fan; I'm a Star Wars fan, and at their best the former favours realism, group dynamics and political intrigue, while the latter favours fantasy elements, action and questions of morality.
