And the Next Cancelled Show is...

Now see, that's another series I wasn't even aware of. Netflix really needs to do better about letting people know of its own shows. I've never even heard about until now. So of course it's cancelled, because other people likely weren't aware of it either. Way to promote things, Netflix.

Netflix treats all movies and tv shows as content, nothing more. The stuff that comes out of their boss’ mouth just makes you shake your head. I don’t know how they make money making bad $150 million movies that are watched for the first three days and then forgotten, but they must be because they keep doing it.

I feel like maybe the way streaming content is thought of needs to change, as it feels unsustainable. And I don't feel it gets the eyeballs it needs to in order to survive.

There goes a hefty chunk of late night comedy material.

I was just watching a Screen Crush video today, and they were mentioning how Apple Plus has a lot of great shows, but no one seems to be watching....

it's kind of crazy how Netflix went from re-runs (essentially) to a force of nature wiht new stuff like Stranger Things and Squid Game...but yeah, this is kinda unsustainable.

When it hits, they do incredibly well, getting things made that people can get excited about, and they actually get promoted. Other times they just dump stuff onto the service with little to no word and expect miracles. Then one day they announce cancellations, often being the first time anyone hears about them. Netflix has become quantity over quality. Which is even worse when you consider the price increases.

Saw an article yesterday (think it was linked through slashdot.org) that the Apple is considering licensing some of it's shows to offset the massive losses the tv division is taking.

Some of those would surely swell up the top 10 once released

I know that Apple TV has partnered with Amazon to air some of their programs on PRIME. I looked on my Fire Tablet and there is a subsection labeled "Apple TV".

Willing to bet those are either shows that have finished their run or been cancelled. In other words, not current shows that are still in production.
