Really? That's a shame. I've found I prefer that version to the original set in L.A. Always liked Rob Lowe.

To me it just comes down to the characters. I never really grew to like any of Lone Star characters. But the characters on the original are great and the show is also uplifting in how they are all basically family to each other. It's not as good as "Ted Lasso" but it is a show in that kind of uplifting vein.

Season 2 of a sitcom Lowe is making with his real life son wrapped a few weeks ago.
Maybe ABC will pick it up like they did the original?
The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon is going from five nights a week to four, following the likes of Colbert, Kimmel and Meyers.

Individually each episode of Beacon 23 was a work of art.
Together each season are a litter of howling hungry cats in a sack trying to kill each other.
Maybe MGM is saving up to bring Stargate back?

Hopefully, I like it as mindless entertainment.
They just announced that NBC is reducing The Tonight Show down to four nights a week.
I'll be pissed if The Late Show band gets axed.
I don't want to see late night talk show go away. I especially like Seth Meyers and his 'A Closer Look' which does a good job of pointing out the political hypocrisy on both sides.
If it were to be cut down, I'd rather see the shows go on one night a week a la Graham Norton and expanded to 90 minutes with multiple guests sitting on the couch; similar to what Johnny Carson used to do when 'The Tonight Show' was 90 minutes.

As a big fan Norton and his show's set-up, I wouldn't be adverse to that if things continue to decline. Obviously I'm biased but I really hope nothing happens to The Late Show since I've been such a long-term fan of Colbert's.
