And the Next Cancelled Show is...

It was okay, but it comes off much worse when you compare it to it's parent, "MIRANDA". Miranda Harts' fourth wall breaking was (usually) much more subtle and funnier. She should have written some for KAT.

The CW Network is losing eight of its CBS affiliated stations come September, including KSTW Channel 11 here in Seattle. No word on what shows will be replacing the CW programs. So, I guess the stations cancelled the network.

The real money for stations is in local news. I'm guessing that Nexstar raised its carriage fees and some stations refused to play ball.

Hmm, I wonder how U.S stations differ to those in Canada. Our local station just about a year or two ago got upgraded for HD broadcast. The way the owner (Bell Canada) treats some of their stations, you'd think they don't care at all about any of local broadcasts unless they're from one of the major population centers, ie Toronto, Vancouver.)

The way things are going here in Seattle, with the lack of any new syndicated programs, the local network affiliates might just run the news all day until prime time.

Heck, ABC/KOMO 4 runs its prime time newscast from 3:30pm until 7pm now. The other network affiliates can't be far behind.

Are those the same stations that refuse to air LIV Golf because of CBS's longstanding relationship with the PGA?

Yeah. Here in Seattle, they dumped those golf games on the Charge! Network, which is a low power sub channel of the ABC affiliate owned by Sinclair.

East New York is probably the loser in SWAT being brought back. True Lies was no surprise and no loss.

CW cancels Walker Independence. They're trying to shop a second season around.

Fox cancels Fantasy Island.

The local CTV keeps rotating through news hosts. It's like the minor leagues for the bigger population centres.

Oh, ours aren't actually all that bad, actually. The two main anchors have been fairly stable for the past several years, and I know the main one personally. It's those doing the weather that tend to be revolving doors though. It's the overall effort in general though that makes it feel like CTV doesn't care much for smaller markets though. They constantly feel like they're making the barest of minimum efforts. If it weren't for the mandatory regional coverage mandated by the CRTC, they'd likely shutter it as a cost-saving measure. We were better off when it was independently owned.

My wife and I watched that, almost out of morbid curiosity.

It was beyond ludicrous.

It was, but I enjoyed it. I found some of the stories pretty engaging. I liked that it wasn't afraid to delve into the mystery/magic behind the island.

The Ruby storyline this season was…something. We laughed a lot at things I don’t think they meant to be funny.

The actress who played Elena is one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen. :adore:

Anyone know the fate of "Dead Pixels"? I love that show but nothing new since 2021 and no apparent cancellation announcement that I can find. It just sort of...disappeared.
