And the Next Cancelled Show is...

Although the producers are shopping the series.

I love comic series but I hadn't gotten to the show yet. Hopefully it'll find a new home.

It was a rough view, but I did make it to the end.

The under age sex subplot plays well in the past, because "They didn't know any better" but trying to play statutory rape off as romantic in a modern setting, was painful.

The couple I wanted to see more of, literally, was Kim Cattrall and Ed Bagely Junior, but then they said that he was an inadequate bore, so she had to go have an affair with one of the main lesbians, invalidating one of the key relationships in the series.

Oh.

Making the show topical by inserting a mass shooting at the the gay dance club in the pilot lacked whimsy, and the having half the cast suffering from PTSD for the next 7 episodes was traumatizing for the audience.

Not surprised.

Late Night shows like The Daily Show have become obsolete in this day and age so it could be the end to the show all together. Podcasts have sort of supplanted their roles in modern society.

Not cancelled, but Trevor Noah has announced he is leaving The Daily Show. What this means for the future of the series, who knows?
Depends on who they get to takeover. I don't it'll be any of the current correspondents. I was just reflecting the other day how surprised I was that all of the people that Trevor brought in with his hosting gig are still there. Most correspondents (outside of Stephen Colbert, Samantha Bee, and John Oliver) tend to stick around for only three or so years. But this era has been different with even Jordan Klepper returning, if only for reoccurring field piece "Fingering the Pulse."

Or maybe it's finally Lewis Black's time to shine? ;)

Full frontal got cancelled.

Sam is free.
She was my first choice to replace Jon before Trevor was announced...

...nah, that ship has sailed. She'll want to keep doing things on her own merits instead of going back to where she started. I look forward to whatever projects she will do but I do expect her to succeed Trevor.

Agreed.

Although she is a package deal with Jason Jones if their kids are old enough to look after themselves.

It seems like his turn to be in front of the camera.

It's still early days for the Community movie, so there's every possibility that a deal can be struck for Donald Glover's return. The announcement by Peacock follows Dan Harmon's recent reveal that a script was being shopped around studios and streamers, so the announcement just confirms the successful bidder. No director has been announced, nor has a release date been set in stone, which suggests that discussions are still taking place elsewhere to bring back other members of the Community cast. If anything, the confirmation by Peacock may be more enticing for Glover, giving him a concrete project that he can sign on to.

Given how busy the actor is with his music career, Atlanta season 4, and the upcoming Mr. & Mrs. Smith show for Amazon, Glover's absence from the confirmed cast list could be a simple case of ironing out his availability. Donald Glover has certainly appeared open to a return, stating his interest in a Community movie during an online table read to raise money for COVID-19 relief. Dan Harmon certainly appeared keen on Glover's pitch for a Star Trek III: The Search For Spock-style movie to find Troy, after he and LeVar Burton were apparently captured by pirates later in Community season 5.
